Shruti Tuning
Ancient Indian music recognizes 22 Shrutis in an octave
Every creation is an offering to higher frequencies of the universe.
Raga Data Verified by Masters, Trusted by Musicians
Unlike scattered results from Google or generic AI summaries, every raga in this plugin is carefully researched and verified by experienced masters of the tradition. You can rely on the details for accuracy in grammar, aroha–avaroha, pakad, shruti, and performance context.
This means you’re not just browsing information – you’re accessing a dependable source of raga knowledge that supports your creativity and ensures authenticity in both classical and modern composition.
Key Features of RagaRecognizer
RagaRecognizer works in real time instantly suggesting ragas as you play. You can switch between two levels of detection:
Partial Detection (Aroha only)
Play just the ascending pattern (Aroha), and the plugin will suggest possible ragas based on that fragment. Ideal for quick inspiration, sketching ideas, or testing a raga flavour without playing the full structure.Full Detection (Aroha + Avroha)
Play both the ascending (Aroha) and descending (Avroha) phrases for a more complete analysis. This gives the plugin more context and narrows down to the most accurate raga match.
👉 Whether you want fast, partial hints or a deeper, full match, the choice is yours detection adapts naturally to your playing.
Explore authentic raga examples, curated and demonstrated by maestros each revealing a different facet of raga expression inside a modern DAW.
Pallav Pandya demonstrates how pitchbend can be used with precision to present a raga in the traditional style, staying true to its subtle microtonal character. His approach shows how digital instruments can still capture the expressive bends and glides that lie at the very heart of Indian classical performance.
Kiran Thakrar blends lighter yet soulful phrasing, showing how ragas can carry both depth and accessibility. His playing reveals the delicate balance between classical discipline and modern sensibility, making ragas approachable for learners while still profoundly moving for experienced listeners.
Anwar Sheikh, an emerging Bollywood keyboard player, highlights how even lighter touches of raga notes can bring joy, colour, and emotional sparkle to contemporary tracks.
👉 These examples are more than demonstrations they are living lessons from artists who bridge ancient sacred tones and scales with today’s creativity. And this is just the beginning more maestro performances will be added in upcoming updates.
Watch swaras light up in sync with playback perfect for learning and practice. Audition plays Raga notes (Swaras), not the Raga. Let the notes guide you. You are the performer. Bring the Raga to life.

Experience ancient Shruti tuning authentic frequencies brought into your DAW.
Forget being locked to the 440 Hz standard. With Shruti Sync, you can explore ancient tunings and microtonal adjustments that connect directly to the 22 shrutis of Indian classical music.
When Shruti Sync is enabled, the plugin re-tunes your tonic (“Sa”) and every note around it, moving you away from fixed Western equal temperament (A=440). Your DAW notes are shifted to match authentic shruti ratios so instead of 440 dictating everything, your chosen Sa becomes the true reference point.
These aren’t just notes they are living frequencies, celebrated for thousands of years for their ability to inspire, calm, and move listeners. (Some traditions even say they balance chakras… others say they balance your neighbour’s Wi-Fi. Either way, it feels amazing ✨).
Go beyond 440 discover resonances that have carried meaning, culture, and creativity for millennia.
Raga information verified by South & North Indian maestros more reliable than Google or AI. 📚
RagaRecognizer isn’t only about learning it’s also a playground for creativity.
Instrument Version: Route RagaRecognizer’s MIDI output to any plugin from Omnisphere to arpeggiators to your favourite synths and hear ragas come alive through entirely new sound palettes.
FX Version: Place RagaRecognizer FX on an existing MIDI track to analyse, guide, and even reshape your performance in real time, all while keeping you within raga rules.
This makes it fun to experiment while honouring classical structures yet blending seamlessly with modern production tools.
